BNE = Web Applications Desktop Integrator

1. What is Web Applications Desktop Integrator (Web ADI/ BNE) used for ?

 

Web ADI allows to some desktop programs to create/access/modify data in E-Business Suite.  

2. Install the last Web ADI version  BNE.D (Apr. 20/ 2008)

 

The following steps are for an Oracle Applications version 11.5.10.2. For more details please consult the Metalink Note 287080.1

 

A) Prerequisites 

 

Apply patch# 4252319 LANGUAGE FILE SETUP FOR BNE.D(3218526) PATCHSET

(superseded by patch# 4291053)

 

The other prerequisite patches are already in 11.5.10.2.

 

 

 

B) Applying BNE.D Minipack

 

  a) Use AutoPatch to apply the u3218526.drv driver file on all applications server nodes.

 

  b) Compile APPS schema(s) with adadmin

 

  c) Compile flexfield data in AOL tables with adadmin

 

  d) Restart Oracle Application Middle Tier environment

 

 

C) Post-installation steps
