1. Access "Compile/ Reload Applications Database Entities" menu

2. Compile/ Reload Applications Database Entities menu options   (on Administration Server node only)

3. Compile APPS schema

4. Compile menu information

5. Compile flexfields

6. Reload JAR files to database

 

 

1. Access "Compile/ Reload Applications Database Entities" menu

 

Run adadmin and choose the option "3. Compile/Reload Applications Database Entities menu".

3. Compile APPS schema

 

This must be done when there are invalid objects in APPS schema. 

AutoPatch compiles invalid objects automatically after applying a patch. 

 


Run Invoker Rights processing in incremental mode: OPTIONS:

 

YES  => Run Invoker's rights processing only on packages that have changed since the last run

NO   => All the objects will be compiled.

 

 

Example:

4. Compile menu information

 

This must be run:

  • after uploading menu entries

  • Compile Security concurrent request fail after changing the menu entries

 

Example:

Do you wish to force compilation of all menus? [No] ?     ( Yes = will force the generation of all menus: in general is not needed )

Generating any out of date menus.

5. Compile flexfields

 

This must be run if a patch specifies this. The flexfields automatically compiles the first time they are accessed.

6. Reload JAR files to database

 

This task runs the loadjava utility to reload all APPS JAR files into the database. This could be necessary if some Java classes have been removed from the database (database becomes corrupt and JVM is reloaded).
