3. Validate APPS schema

This task creates a report called <APPS schema name>.lst in $APPL_TOP/admin/<SID>/out directory.

This report shows:

• invalid objects in APPS schema

• missing objects in APPS schema

This task must be run:

• when there are customizations in APPS schema;

• after upgrade, applying a maintenance pack;

• before convertion to Multi Org or Multi Reporting Currencies (MRC);

• after an import/ export;

• if an error is coming from AD_DDL package.

This task could be run also from the sqlplus (connected as system):

SQL> @$AD_TOP/admin/sql/advrfapp.sql <APPS schema name> <AOL schema name>

4. Re-create grants and synonyms for APPS schema

The APPS schema keeps the database code but, the tables are situated in each product schema. To access these tables, the code must have the right grants. So, this task re-grants the privileges,  recreates the synonyms for APPS schema (and also for APPLSYSPUB public schema).  

This task must be run:

• After a custom development 

• Failed Patches

• Incomplete import/ export

5. Maintain multi-lingual tables

This task maintains multi-lingual tables by adding any missing, untranslated rows. 

6. Check DUAL table

This task verifies if the SYS.DUAL exists and has ONLY one row. If the SYS.DUAL doesn't exist or has more than 1 row, Oracle Applications will not run correctly. 

7. Maintain Multiple Reporting Currencies

If the Oracle Applications are NOT using the MRC,  instead "Maintain Multiple Reporting Currencies" we will have in the menu "Convert to Multiple Reporting Currencies".

When MRC is implemented, for each currency will be a conversion rate and the reports can be created in any currency supported by the Oracle Applications. 

8. Convert to Multi-Org   (this option appears only if the Oracle Applications don't support Multi-Org )

The improved Convert to Multi-Org process is available for download from Metalink. Patch Number 2412194 (or 2616304, which is included in Applications DBA 11i.AD.H).

NOTE: To avoid data corruption, please shut down all concurrent managers and ensure all users are logged off the system.
