Apply the Oracle ATG (Apps Technology) Patch

1. What does the Application Technology include ?

2. How could I install the Applications Technology 11i.ATG_PF.H.RUP6 patch ?

1. What does the Application Technology include ?

The Application Technology includes: Oracle Application Framework (JDeveloper, etc), Oracle Application Object Library, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Report Manager, Oracle WEB ADI, Oracle Alert, Oracle Applications Technology Stack, Oracle XML Publisher, etc.

2. How could I install the Applications Technology 11i.ATG_PF.H.RUP6 patch ?

NOTE: The following steps are specific for Oracle Linux, and EBS 11.5.10.2.

- Apply the AD minipack. For more details click here: Apply the AD minipack.

- Apply 5989593 - AD: 11i: Remove "REVOKE ALL FROM PUBLIC" from ADGRANTS.SQL

    On the database server:

     . /APPS_DB/visdb/9.2.0/VIS_db.env

    mkdir $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/admin

Copy adgrants.sql from the 5989593 patchtop/admin directory to the new created directory ($ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/admin).

    $ sqlplus /nolog
    SQL> connect / as sysdba
    @$ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/admin/adgrants.sql  <APPLSYS password>

- Apply 3218526 - BNE: Patch 11i.BNE.D. For more details click here: Apply BNE Patch.

- Apply 4206794 - FRM: Patch 11i.FRM.H. for more details click here: Apply FRM Patch.

- Run the Technology Stack Validation Utility

      a) Connect to the apps server and source the environment

      b) Ensure "APPLRGF" variable is set in environment. If not, set it to the same value as "APPLTMP".
      c) From the location where 5903765 patch was unzipped, change directory to fnd/patch/115/bin

      d) Run the Technology Stack Validation Utility:

       ./txkprepatchcheck.pl -script=ValidateRollup -outfile=$APPLTMP/txkValidateRollup.html -appspass=<apps database password>

The utility will produce an HTML report.  Review any required actions before proceeding with the Applications Technology

Updates. In my case I have nothing to do.

- Apply 5903765: 11i.ATG_PF.H.delta.6 (RUP6) contains a unified patch driver (u5903765.drv) to be applied with AutoPatch

- Apply Release-Specific Post-Install Patches. (Conditionally Required). see Metalink Note 444524.1.

- Upgrade Oracle XML Parser for Java v9.0.4 with Oracle Applications 11i

If this step is skipped the following error will appear during the Apps. login:

   Oracle ATG error

- Start the AutoConfig on the Application Tier
<COMMON_TOP>/admin/scripts/<CONTEXT_NAME>/adautocfg.sh ( UNIX; for Windows : adautocfg.cmd )

- Start the AutoConfig on the DB Tier
<RDBMS ORACLE_HOME>/appsutil/scripts/<CONTEXT_NAME>/adautocfg.sh ( UNIX; for Windows : adautocfg.cmd )

- Copy Fonts for Oracle XML Publisher

Copy the font files from $FND_TOP/resource to the /lib/fonts directory (under OA_JRE_TOP and JRE_TOP) on all Web and concurrent nodes. Apply patch 3639533: Albany (Display) Font 4.02 Release, if $FND_TOP/resource does not contain the font files.

- Run the Workflow Directory Services User/Role Validation concurrent program:

NOTE:

After the upgrade, when attempting to Log-in as SysAdmin the following error may occurs:
Sysadmin and user responsibility not available.

For the fix check the Metalink Note 564465.1
